Adjunct Faculty Positions
We accept applications for part-time teaching positions year round. Hours of assignment range from 3 to 25 per week, depending on our course type and program needs. Instructors should have either full morning or full evening availability. See our course schedule for an idea of possible assignment hours. New instructors are paid according to a step-and-column rate relative to their educational qualification, always beginning at Step 1 and Column 1, per district agreement. Although we are usually fully-staffed, we always welcome applications from qualified candidates and keep them on file for 6 - 12 months.
Most of our instructors have a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL/TESL/TEFL). Some have a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Linguistics, a foreign language, Intercultural Studies, or a related field PLUS a graduate-level certificate in TESOL.
