Dr. Fawaz Al-Malood


Dr. Fawaz Al-Malood is the Associate Dean for the Business Division at Mt. San Antonio College. The Business Division is the third largest division on campus, and it includes: five academic and career and technical education departments with 15 disciplines, a Child Development Center, Center of Excellent, Carl D. Perkins grant, CTE Web and Marketing Team, and a computer lab.
 
Prior to being appointed as an Associate Dean, Dr. Al-Malood served in numerous capacities within academia including: Professor, Program Coordinator, Cohort Director, Department Chair, CFO, as well as Trustee.
 
Dr. Al-Malood received his academic and professional training in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, and Education Management in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to receiving his academic appointment at Mt. San Antonio College, Dr. Al-Malood held positions with: The Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Starwood, and other hospitality organizations.

In addition to his expertise in hospitality management, Dr. Al-Malood’s proficiency includes: education management, education marketing, program development, curriculum design, development and implementation of distance learning programs, web development for nonprofit and for profit organizations, and online marketing strategic planning and analysis.
 
Dr. Al-Malood is also the Founder of FacultyWorkshop.com a blog dedicated to sharing successful strategies on: teaching, productivity, and professional development for college educators.
