Ability to Benefit

Students who do not have a high school diploma or an equivalent such as a GED are not eligible for federal financial aid (Title IV funds).  Such students can no longer become eligible by passing an approved “ability-to-benefit” test or by satisfactorily completing at least six units of college course work that are applicable to a degree or certificate offered by Mt. San Antonio College.

However, students who can show proof of college enrollment before July 1, 2012 can be considered for Title IV eligibility under the ATB test or college credit standards.
