2017 Institutional Self-Evaluation Report:

In Support of Reaffirmation of Accreditation

2017 Self Evaluation Report

Self Evaluation Visit

During March 6-9, 2017, Mt. SAC will undergo a comprehensive review from Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior College ( ACCJC). The review will be based on the College's self-evaluation of how well it meets ACCJC's standards as well as numerous team interviews and evaluation of evidence. By the end of the review period, the College will receive a verbal, public report of the team's immediate findings. The final evaluation of the College, including ACCJC's recommendations for accreditation, will be received in a formal written document in July, 2017. The letter and Evaluation Report will be published online at that time.

Self Evaluation Writing Process

In order to evaluate itself against the ACCJC standards, the College began a formal review process in fall 2013. The permanent Accreditation Steering Committee (ASC) was formed and consists of all groups — faculty, classified, confidential, managers and students. Standards Writing Teams began their work in fall 2014 with review of the ACCJC standards and collection of evidence through interviews and document review to support the College's achievements toward meeting the standards. The Self-Evaluation final document is the culmination of three years of collaborative work by the writing teams. The following files were uploaded December 13, 2016. They represent the final Self Evaluation for Mt. SAC.  The Board of Trustees approved the content of this document at its November 9, 2016 meeting at which point it was formatted to what you see below.
